San Antonio Police Officers Association president retiring

Detective Mike Helle, who has served five consecutive terms, said that he will be retiring in January.

SAN ANTONIO — Detective Mike Helle, the president of the San Antonio Police Officers Association, confirmed that he will be retiring at the end of his term in January of 2021.

He said that he has served the department for 31 years, and that his five consecutive terms make him the longest-serving president in SAPOA history.
