SAN ANTONIO — A man is dead after being hit by a car on the northeast side Friday night.
Police say it happened around 10:00 p.m. on FM 78 and Rittiman Road. The 49-year-old man was reportedly crossing Rittiman when he was hit by the car.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the driver of the car did stop to help the man. He told police he did not see the man until it was too late.
The driver will not be facing charges.
