Harris County officials no longer asking for boats, high water vehicles

Officials no longer asking for volunteers to assist with water rescues

Authorities in Harris County announced Monday night they no longer need for volunteers with boats and high water vehicles.

In the face of catastrophic flooding from the remnants of what was Hurricane Harvey, Harris County officials on Sunday asked Houston-area citizens to help conduct rescues. Harris County Judge Ed Emmet asked for anyone with high-water vehicles to help evacuate residents.
