National, local leaders show outpouring of support for Gonzaga after championship loss

Until the NCAA national championship game, Gonzaga had an undefeated season.

INDIANAPOLIS — After Gonzaga's historic season came to an end with a loss to Baylor in the national championship game on Monday night, there was an outpouring of support on social media.

The Bulldogs came up just short of finishing a perfect season, ending with a 31-1 record. Despite the loss, the Zags made a lot of history in their march to the national championship game.

Local politicians, basketball legends and others tweeted supportive messages to the team and their fans.
