Luck leads Colts past Texans, ending Houston's 9-game winning streak

Andrew Luck threw for 399 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Colts win.

HOUSTON — Andrew Luck led the Indianapolis Colts to a 24-21 win over the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium Sunday, ending Houston's 9-game win streak. Luck threw for 399 yards and two touchdowns and an interception. For the Texans, Deshaun Watson threw for 267 yards and ran for another 35 yards. The Indianapolis defense sacked him five times.

Houston drops to 9-4. They'll take on the New York Jets Saturday. Indy improves to 7-6 and will face Dallas next.

FOURTH QUARTER: COLTS 24, TEXANS 21

Deshaun Watson found DeAndre Hopkins in the back of the end zone to cut the lead to 24-21.

THIRD QUARTER: COLTS 24, TEXANS 14

Lamar Miller found the end zone from one yard out to start the scoring in the second half, but Andrew Luck continues to torch the Texans, leading the Colts to a scoring drive of their own.

SECOND QUARTER: Colts 17, Texans 7

Andrew Luck found his groove in the second quarter of this one, leading Indy to 17 straight points. The Colts took a 17-7 lead into the locker room at halftime.

FIRST QUARTER: Texans 7, Colts 0

Both defenses were stingy in the opening frame, but Houston broke through with an Alfred Blue touchdown late in the first to take a 7-0 lead.

Before the game, Astros third-baseman Alex Bregman, who served as honorary captain for today's game, talked about losing Luis Valbuena in a car accident last week.
