Final Four Fan Fest brings more than basketball to downtown S.A.

The Final Four Fan Fest is a sports lovers paradise. And it's not just a hands-on event for basketball fans, but a true interactive venue for all sports.

SAN ANTONIO — Not everyone is able to afford tickets to the big games, but don’t let that stop you from enjoying the ultimate fan experience. The Final Four Fan Fest is going on for a couple more days and offers a little something for everybody.

It’s a sports lovers paradise. The Final Four Fan Fest. And it’s not just a hands-on event for basketball fans, but a true interactive venue for all sports, including hockey, lacrosse, and baseball.

There’s also an area for the little ones, sponsored by Cartoon Network, they can watch some TV, or do a little artwork.

There’s even a wing eating contest featuring Buffalo Wild Wings’ hottest flavor.

“My mouth is still on fire, like I can’t feel. You can punch me in the mouth and I couldn’t feel it,” said David Tristan, who participated in the contest.

The most popular attraction at the Fan Fest has to be the autograph sessions. Saturday several Spurs players, including Patty Mills, were on site to meet some of their biggest fans.

“It was good, it was a good feeling to see him because I like watching the Spurs on TV,” said David Bosquede.

And yes, it’s the Final Four, so there’s no shortage of basketball. There was a 3 point shooting contest for tickets to the games. Of course, the biggest winner all weekend is San Antonio, showcasing why it should continue to host future Final Four's.

“I’m a native of San Antonio, we just love that everybody coming out and supporting the city and having a good time. We hope that we make such a great impression with the NCAA, that they come back out every year,” Adam Zaragoza.
