OKLAHOMA CITY — A video showing the kindness of a former San Antonio high school basketball standout is going viral.
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Andre Roberson donated $7,500 to a grandmother who wanted to legally adopt her grandchildren, but couldn’t afford it.
A video showing the surprise gift was shared by the team Sunday night and has since been shared about 3,000 times across Twitter and Facebook.
Roberson, the 26th pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, has not played yet this season as he recovers from a knee injury suffered in January.
Prior to his three years at the University of Colorado, Roberson was a top recruit and leader of the 2010 Wagner High School basketball team that reached the state semi-finals.
