SAN ANTONIO — One man, Emeterio Hernandez Jr., 40, is in custody following a six-hour standoff with police that began Tuesday night.
Police responded to a 'family violence' call in the 800 block of Mandolin Wind on the city's north side last night.
When they arrived, a shot was fired.
According to family members, Hernandez had been drinking prior to the arrival of law enforcement.
After six hours, the 40-year-old was talked out of the home by family and negotiators without incident.
Hernandez has been charged with 'Assault-Family-Choking/Strangulation.'
He has been taken into custody.
