According to Barry Perez with Northside ISD, the district will be meeting as early as late this afternoon to determine whether or not they will be asking students to attend classes tomorrow.

KENS 5 Chief Meteorologist Bill Taylor said the main threat of this severe weather event would enter the San Antonio area early Tuesday morning, and bring with it dangerous black ice and sleet accumulation on the roads.

In addition to the impacts of freezing rain, sleet, and snow, temperatures will be very cold, Bill said.

It will be in the 20s by Tuesday afternoon and with strong north winds, wind chill values could drop into the teens.

Bundle up, San Antonio, and stay safe.
