SAN ANTONIO — A man wanted in connection with a November murder was arrested Monday.

San Antonio Police's Street Crimes Unit and the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested murder suspect Tremaurya Powell.

Powell was wanted in connection to the November 17 murder of Terrence Lamont Scott at 1031 Patricia. Powell was also booked for 6 other active warrants, according to SAPD.

26-year-old Terrence Scott was shot and killed inside of a popular north-side bar in the early morning on November 17, according to San Antonio police.

The shooting reportedly took place at Chasers Sports Bar & Lounge, near Blanco and West Avenue around 1 a.m.

Police arrived on scene to find bar goers fleeing from the front and back of the building. Once inside they located Scott, who was dead with a gunshot in his head.

Shortly after the shooting, police said they received a phone call from a local hospital who reported a woman came into their facility with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, claiming she got it at the same bar.

Details were scarce in the immediate aftermath but Powell was arrested a month later.
