SAN ANTONIO — One person was critically injured in a single car wreck Friday morning along I-35 on the city's northeast side.
First responders shut down all but one southbound lane of I-35 near Rittiman Road, with traffic being diverted to frontage road. The crash happened around 10:30 a.m.
According to a preliminary report from the San Antonio Police Department, a 24-year-old woman was traveling alone when she hit the right side concrete wall and lost control, hitting the left center median.
The victim suffered head and internal trauma injuries and was transported to Brooke Army Medical Center.
