TAMPA, Fla. -- The Tampa Police Department arrested the man suspected of killing four people in the southeast Seminole Heights neighborhood.

Who is the suspected killer?
Howell Emanuel Donaldson III, 24, of Tampa is charged with four counts of first-degree murder in the killings of Benjamin Edward Mitchell on Oct. 9, Monica Caridad Hoffa on Oct. 11, Anthony Naiboa on Oct. 19 and Ronald Felton on Nov. 14 in southeast Seminole Heights.
Where has Donaldson lived?
Donaldson, who also goes by "Trai," is a 2011 graduate of Alonso High School in Tampa. He attended St. John's University in Queens, New York, starting in fall 2011 and graduated in January 2017.

During the 2011-2012 season, Donaldson was a walk-on for the St. John's men's basketball team. Donaldson did not appear in a game. St. John's has removed Donaldson's player page from its website.
A police affidavit states Donaldson was born in Charlotte, North Carolina.
What links Donaldson to the murders?
Jail records show authorities seized a Smith and Wesson .40-caliber handgun from Donaldson after his arrest at a McDonald's restaurant just off Interstate 4 on East 13th Avenue.
The affidavit states investigators found .40-caliber cartridge casings at each of the murder scenes.
The recovered weapon had five unfired rounds of SIG brand Smith and Wesson .40-caliber ammunition.
AT&T phone records show Donaldson's cellphone was pinged in the location of the three Seminole Heights murders on Oct. 9, Oct. 11, and Oct. 19, according to the affidavit.
Donaldson's cellphone, "was geographically associated with the AT&T cell tower providing coverage for the areas that include all the homicide locations," according to the affidavit.
A consensual search of Donaldson's car led police to the recovery of clothing, which was similar to the clothing worn by the suspect on Oct. 9, according to the affidavit. Police found a blood stain on an area of the clothing too.
Has Donaldson had problems with the law before?
The New York City Police Department confirmed to CBS News that Donaldson was also arrested in 2014 in Manhattan. New York City police have not released details on the 2014 arrest.
When is Donaldson due in court?
Donaldson is set to appear for his arraignment on Tuesday morning. He has asked to be represented by an attorney, according to the affidavit.
