Seguin area couple killed; doctor charged with murder

Guadalupe County deputies responded to an incident where a husband and wife were both killed north of Seguin. 56-year-old Robert Fadal has been arrested and charged with capital murder.

A husband and wife were shot and killed near Seguin on Sunday morning, and officials don’t know the reason for the attack.

Just before noon on Sunday, the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call on Timber Elm near the Guadalupe River.

Anthony Strait was pronounced dead on the scene, and his wife, Tiffany Strait, died at the hospital. Their family says they were murdered with their three young boys present.

Seguin couple found murdered

The suspect, 56-year-old Seguin resident Robert Fadal, was arrested and is accused of capital murder.

Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Craig Jones said there was no indication of any dispute or altercation leading to the shooting. Anthony and Tiffany Strait were allegedly helping Fadal's mother clean out a garage.

Authorities said there is currently no evidence of anyone involved with Fadal. Records show Fadal as a general practice doctor in the area.
