Day by day, we keep getting closer to Fiesta in San Antonio, and that means we are seeing more Fiesta medals.
On Wednesday, Raising Cane's, the restaurant known for its chicken fingers and sauce, released information on its Fiesta contributions.
From now until May 1 – or when supplies run out – San Antonio-area Raising Cane’s will be selling 2018 limited-edition Fiesta Medals for $8, with all proceeds benefiting the Animal Defense League of Texas (ADL). The medals will be available at all San Antonio locations, except for the one at the airport.
Last year, Raising Cane’s donated $10,862.59 to ADL through its medal program.
“Fiesta Medals are a fun tradition that we have during Fiesta and we are proud to join our community in celebrating while also supporting the ADL and the amazing work they do for the animals in San Antonio,” Raising Cane’s Marketing Advisor Chantel Romero said.
Romero added that the medals will also be available at the company's new Boerne location.
In addition to the medal program, Raising Cane’s is a third-year Yellow Rose Sponsor of the Battle of Flowers parade on April 27. This year’s float will celebrate the local cultural icon Rollercade, with a roller disco theme and Raising Cane’s disco ball.
Raising Cane's was founded by Todd Graves in 1996 and named for his yellow Labrador, Raising Cane. The company has locations in 24 states and five foreign countries.
