SAN ANTONIO — Police are looking for the killers in a double murder on the east side in 2016.
In March of 2016, 20-year-old Ishmael Haywood and 17-year-old Demontray Mackey were riding in a car that was ambushed at the intersection of Larry Street and Sherman Street.
Three other men were also shot while in the car with the two men, but they survived. The person who shot them is said to be driving a white, four door sedan. Police say he used an assault rifle in the murders. He was the passenger in that car and the only shooter. He is described as a thin, black man.
The driver of the sedan is described as a heavy black man or woman with glasses.
KENS 5 has been following this case since it happened. At the time, the mother of Ishmael Haywood, Rolanda Bradford, pleaded for justice for her son.
“I carried him for nine months. He was there for 20 years. How am I supposed to just move on? You can't. You can't move on," Bradford said.
