Carry the Load is an organization with the goal of restoring the true meaning of Memorial Day by honoring the servicemen that have fallen and the families and friends who carry the memory of the fallen.
The organization isn't just for the military, though. It also dedicates its mission to law enforcement, firefighters and rescue personnel who put their lives on the line to keep our country safe.
As part of Carry the Load's mission, the organization is holding two cross-country relays going on throughout the month of May that will culminate in a march in Dallas on Memorial Day weekend. One relay started in Seattle, while the other started in Boston.
The one that started in Seattle is making its way through the Lone Star State right now as the group is in West Texas.
