SAN ANTONIO — A man is in critical condition after being hit by an 18-wheeler on the city's northwest side.
The incident happened on Northwest Loop 410 at Alamo Downs Parkway near Ingram.
Police said the man was attempting to cross the northbound lanes on 410 when he was hit. He was taken to University Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the 18-wheeler stopped to render air and police said the northbound lanes will be shut down until around 9:30 a.m.
