SAN ANTONIO — A teacher and coach at Wagner High School has been placed on administrative leave after he was arrested on Thursday.
According to Bexar County public records, Andre Lamont Jackson was arrested just before noon on January 10 and charged with DWI, possession of dangerous drugs and unlawful carry of a weapon. He was released on bond two days later.
A spokesperson for Judson ISD said Jackson is not permitted to coach or teach within the district. "He is on Administrative Leave," spokesperson Steve Linscomb said in a statement. "Anything beyond that is a personnel matter on which we cannot comment."
According to the Wagner High School website, Jackson taught US History and was a coach for the boys basketball team.
