SAN ANTONIO — A man shot and killed a suspected burglar attempting to break into his apartment early Tuesday, according to police.
It happened around 7 a.m. just north of downtown on W. Euclid Avenue.
A resident at an apartment complex told police he heard someone trying to kick his door down and when he went to address it, he found the burglar had kicked down his door.
Police said the man then drew his firearm, shot and killed the suspect at the scene.
It's unsure if the two knew each other, but police said this was an act of self defense and the homeowner will not be charged with murder.
This is a developing story.
