SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Zoo says it will be jump-starting the weekend Thursday by offering special admission to "locals."
Admission during the event, which the zoo has dubbed "Locals Day," will be $8 a person, which the zoo says would be a nearly 50 percent saving.
According to a press release, discount admission tickets can be purchased at the zoo's front gate with proof of residency. The zoo says "residents of San Antonio, Bexar County, and the neighboring communities" can take advantage of the special ticket price.
The San Antonio Zoo says that the "deep discount will allow for even more people to learn how the zoo combines conservation, animal care, and education to secure a future for wildlife."
