SAN ANTONIO — Get ready to shimmy away your Friday afternoon, because downtown SA is hosting a 'Bidi Bidi Lunch Break' in memory of Tejano queen Selena Quintanilla.
The City of San Antonio's Center City Development & Operations Department is co-hosting the afternoon fiesta along with Activate Houston and Downtown San Antonio.
On Friday, June 1 from 11 am to 2 pm at the 200 block of E Houston in front of the Majestic, fans can celebrate the late singer with Selena tunes, tacos, prizes, and free Topo Chico.
San Antonians have had several chances to celebrate Selena in 2018. In April, Stripes released their latest edition of collectible cups honoring the "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom" singer. And in March of this year, limited edition Selena bags were available at local H-E-Bs.
