Police identify victim in deadly northeast Austin stabbing

A man was found with stab wounds on Cameron Road, near Nelson Field, just before 3 a.m. Sunday morning.

AUSTIN, Texas — Police are investigating a deadly stabbing in northeast Austin on Sunday morning.

A man was found with stab wounds at an apartment complex on Cameron Road, near Nelson Field, just before 3 a.m. The man later died at the hospital.

The victim was identified as Bobby Deshawn Hill, 23.

Detectives are asking anyone with information or video of the incident to call APD Homicide at 512-974-TIPS, email homicide.apd@austintexas.gov, use the Crime Stoppers tip line at 512-472-8477 (TIPS), or the Crime Stoppers app

Tips can be submitted anonymously and could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.

This is Austin’s 44th homicide of 2021.
