SAN ANTONIO — A day after authorities began investigating a 61-year-old inmate’s death after being held in county custody, the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s office confirmed her passing was due to natural causes.
Specifically, authorities said Janice Dotson-Stephens died from cardiovascular disease. She had been behind bars since July 19 on charges of criminal trespass.
