SAN ANTONIO — NISD officials say there were two incidents involving bats on the Brennan High School campus last week, and students came in contact with the bats.

District officials say the results for the first bat tested positive for rabies. Results for the second bat are still pending.

A letter was sent out to Brennan High School parents that says the district has made contact with the parents of the students who came in contact with the bats.

District officials say pest control staff members are working with an outside contractor to make sure bats do not have access to the building.

The two bats that were found were outside the building and district officials say the bats were not inside the building at any point.
