Although the weather this Memorial Day weekend might be a little ruff, the holiday also brings the purr-fect opportunity to add a furry friend to your family.
Animal Care Services will host an adopt-a-thon at the Animal Care Adoption Center (located at 4710 State Highway 151) on Friday and Saturday, May 25-26.
ACS will be open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday to accommodate all potential adopters.
You can take home a mixed-breed dog for just $25 or a cat for $15. Some purebred and "designer breed" pets will also be available at special rates, but all adoptions are first come, first served and the special adoption event is two days only.
Each adopted pet will go home vaccinated, sterilized and with a free microchip.
Adoption applications and more information on the ACS adoption process can be found online at saacs.net.
