Since the kids are back in school, Eyewitness Wants To Know about crosswalks that need help. We asked and many of you have responded.

One Alamo Heights Junior School parent wrote to tell us the 1500 block of Nacogdoches Road is a danger zone so we checked it out.

At AHJS, the lights are flashing and the signs are in place, even if some of them are obscured, but we found drivers having a little trouble with the concept of yielding.

One school administrator said that the students have been told to only cross at the traffic light in the next block, but we found student athletes taking their chances midblock and having to dodge overgrown vegetation during early morning runs.

Even though this is the Alamo Heights ISD, the block is in the City of San Antonio. So KENS 5 asked San Antonio police to consider providing a bit of stepped-up enforcement while drivers readjust to the kids being back in school.
