This is a complete list of all the closings, cancellations and postponements KENS 5 has been made aware of in the San Antonio area. On March 13, city and health officials announced Friday at a press conference the first confirmed case of coronavirus in San Antonio from outside of the JBSA-Lackland quarantine.
Mayor Ron Nirenberg issued a Public Health Emergency, restricting gatherings of more than 500 people.
Closings
- Several San Antonio-area school districts have announced temporary closures. Click here for the full list.
- Santikos has temporarily closed and will refund tickets. See their statement here.
- EVO Entertainment Group has temporarily closed. EVO Café locations will still provide to-go, delivery services.
- City Base Entertainment will be closed until further notice.
- OPERA San Antonio canceled the upcoming performances of Rigoletto, education and community engagement programs, and donor events through the end of May.
- Natural Bridge Caverns has closed until the end of March.
- The Alamo will close "until further notice," beginning March 16, amid new guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and city leaders. Click here to read the full statement.
- Oak Hills Church has canceled its worship services and ministry activities. Online worship from their Crownridge location will be available Saturday at 5 p.m. and Sunday between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m.
- Witte Museum will close to the public by end of business day March 13 and remain closed until March 20.
- Six Flags Fiesta Texas has announced a temporary closure until the end of March, effective Saturday, March 14.
- Morgan's Wonderland will close from Saturday, March 14, through Thursday, March 19.
- The Barship Jewish Community Center in north San Antonio is now closed through April 3.
- San Antonio Public Library locations are closed March 14-22.
- Several local gyms announce temporary closures, including Gold's Gym and Orangetheory, both of which will remain closed for the rest of March. See what other local gyms are temporarily closing here.
- San Antonio Museum of Art will remain closed until Friday, March 20, at which time the situation will be re-evaluated.
- Concordia Church will switch to an online-only worship service. Email online@concordia.cc or call 210-617-3780 for help with the online service.
- First Baptist Church has canceled all gatherings and meetings Sunday, March 15. They will stream their service live at 11 a.m. Click here to access the live stream.
- Balcones Heights City officials postponed Municipal Court for two weeks. Court will resume on Wed., April 1.
- Municipal Court for Sandy Oaks will be closed Monday, March 16. City officials will be deciding about April's court date at a later time.
- All Pearl programming is suspended until further notice. This includes Gustav's Geysers, Venue Open House, and Weekend Farmers Market events.
- Schlitterbahn Waterparks & Resort will temporarily close its parks in both New Braunfels and Galveston through the end of the month.
- SeaWorld has decided to temporarily close all of its theme parks, effective March 16, through the end of the month.
- The San Antonio Zoo will temporarily close, from March 14 through March 20.
- La Cantera Resort and Spa will temporarily close resort operations. All food and beverage outlets, spas, pools, recreation, golf courses and related services will be closed.

Friday, March 20 - Saturday, March 21- The city of New Braunfels has canceled The Founders' Trail Ride and the Founders Day Parade.
Friday, March 13 through April 25- The Tobin Center is working to reschedule all performances through April 25.
Friday, March 13 through March 17- St. Patrick's Day events have been canceled: the dyeing of the river green and the St. Patrick's Day Festival and Parade.
Tues. March 17- Thurs. March 19 - Self Storage Association annual conference has been canceled and has not been rescheduled.
Saturday, March 21: Spurs night at the San Antonio FC game has been postponed, along with all other United Soccer League games.
Sunday, March 22- Wed. March 25 - 2020 PDC Summit has been canceled and has not been rescheduled.
March 25 - Evening Under the Stars gala has been postponed to a future date that is yet to be determined.
Thursday, April 2-Sunday, April 5 - The Valero Texas Open has been canceled and has not been rescheduled.
April 3-5 - The Poteet Strawberry Festival, originally scheduled to take place in early April, has been postponed until the fall.
April 16- An Evening with Dr. Jane Goodall was canceled at the Tobin Center.
April 16-26- Fiesta 2020 has been postponed to November 5-15.
