SAN ANTONIO — A man and woman working on their car on the city's south side were shot at late Sunday night.

According to San Antonio Police, the two were pulled over on the side of the road in the 800 block of Fitch Street around 11:30 p.m., in a subdivision just east of Interstate 35 North before the shooting.

They told police they were adjusting a speaker wire for the car's stereo when a man approached them and started firing a shotgun.

The shooter quickly fled the scene.

The man sustained some birdshot to the face and hand. He was able to drive his SUV to Southwest General Hospital and from there he was transported to San Antonio Military Medical Center.

No arrests have been made at this time.
