These area school districts delaying school due to Sunday’s wintry weather

Portions of south Texas saw snow, hail, and sleet during Sunday's winter weather advisory.

SAN ANTONIO — UPDATE: This article has been corrected to reflect that Edgewood ISD has not canceled class and will conduct normal school hours on January 11.

Sunday was a snow day across much of Texas. For several counties in South Texas -- including Bexar, Comal, Guadalupe, and Caldwell counties, a Winter Weather Advisory was in effect as the area saw snow, sleet, hail, and ice.

Area school districts most affected by the wintery conditions are implementing delays as a precaution to ensure student safety.

We will update this list with any new information.

  • Blanco ISD will delay their start time until 10 a.m., with no breakfast served
  • Stockdale ISD will delay their start time until 10 a.m.
