SAN ANTONIO – Over the last school year, KENS 5 staff members partnered with students at John Jay High School for a special mentorship program.
About 20 KENS 5 volunteers worked with a group of freshmen at John Jay and will remain with them for the next four years.
The program is coordinated through Communities in Schools.
The goal of the program was simple: To help make sure these kids graduate and go on to find success wherever life takes them.
The mentors and the students celebrated the end of the year with a special lunch at the KENS 5 station.
