DNA evidence leads police to man who allegedly installed credit card skimmer

Yeinier Saborit-Gomez has been arrested after police say he installed a credit card skimmer on a gas pump in 2017.

SAN ANTONIO — A 26-year-old man is being held in the Bexar County Jail on multiple charges, including fraud. Police said he installed a credit card skimmer on a gas pump two years ago.

A San Antonio police officer found a gas pump skimming device on pump #8 at the 7-11 on South W.W. White Road. Officers collected the pump and sent it off to be processed for prints and DNA.

In January, police got the results back, linking Gomez to the crime. Gomez has now been arrested and charged with unlawful interception, use or disclosure of an electronic communication, a felony offense.
