SAN ANTONIO — It happens every year: Despite warnings about San Antonio's ban on fireworks inside city limits, thousands of fireworks were seen being used across the horizon on New Year's Eve.
In a year unlike any in recent memory, this was one of the few things that didn't change as 2020 became 2021 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
