SAN ANTONIO — Visitors at the Pearl's Twig Book Shop on Friday were treated to more than just novels and trinkets as a pair of one-ton horses were capturing hearts during an extra-special outdoor storytime.
The horses are part of Two Ton Horse Club, which travels throughout Texas connecting with kids through books and kindness.
Friday's book was "Dan the Man" by Cindy Martinez Mangol. The illustration, Medeline Hein, hails from Devine and was in middle school when she worked on the book.
