SAISD teacher investigated for 'questionable interactions' with student

District officials said the now-former instructor's actions don't constitute criminal behavior.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio ISD says an anonymous tip involving allegations of a teacher engaging in questionable behavior led to that teacher being placed on administrative leave, which is standard protocol for such investigations.

SAISD Spokesperson Leslie Price said the tipster alleged the educator had “questionable interactions” with a student at Highlands High School. He resigned before the investigation was completed.

Price said the district cannot delve into the specifics of their investigation, but confirmed the teacher’s action did not rise to the level of any inappropriate relationship or criminal behavior.

“We did a very thorough investigation,” she said. “We have no information that led to a finding of being a relationship with a student.”

District officials say to contact them if there are any other concerns involving employees.
