A local festival has celebrated the delicious treat for the last 8 years and will be returning this Sunday, May 19.

The Barbacoa & Big Red Festival's ninth annual event will be taking place at a new location this year. Chefs will bring their take on the San Antonio staple to the Greenline Park, a nice but under-used area and trail at Brooks on the city's Southside.

SAVE THE DATE for the 9th Annual Barbacoa & Big Red Festival Sunday, May 19th, 2019 @ The Greenline SA at Brooks (formerly known as Brooks City Airforce Base) ALL AGES EVENT & KIDS UNDER ARE 12 FREE.

Along with tasty tacos, the festival will feature live music and vendors in what the event says is a "children friendly atmosphere."
