Dual-military couple's surprise reunion caught on camera

2LT Jamie Douglas returned from an 8 month deployment to Iraq and surprised her husband, 2LT Jordan Pruitt.

SAN ANTONIO — A special reunion at Joint Base San Antonio was captured on camera for a local military family. An Army Officer surprised her fellow officer and husband after she spent eight months overseas.

2nd Lieutenant Jamie Douglas just returned to Fort Hood from a deployment in Iraq. Her husband, 2nd lieutenant Jordan Pruitt, was in a classroom at Fort Sam Houston getting Army medical training.

The U.S. Army Medical Department Center and School Health Readiness Center of Excellence posted a video of the touching moment.

Douglas's mom, an Active Duty Colonel (COL Monica Douglas) is the Director of the AMEDD Personnel Proponent Directorate. She is currently serving at the Army medical training school where the husband (2LT Jordan Pruitt) attends Army Medical Training.

Colonel Douglas drove her daughter from Fort Hood to Fort Sam Houston to pull off the surprise. She said she didn't want her son-in-law to miss his class.
