What's happened since the last 100-degree day in San Antonio?

It's been 336 days since we saw triple-digit temps in the Alamo City.

SAN ANTONIO — It's been nearly one year since we saw our last day with 100-degree temperatures. In fact, August 29, 2018 was the eleventh day in a series of triple-digit temps. 

We thought it would be fun to take a look at all that has happened in the past 11 months in the Alamo City since the last 100-degree day. 

#1 August 30, 2018: San Antonio celebrates Manu Ginobli Day

Following beloved Spur Manu Ginobli's retirement announcement, the City of San Antonio deemed August 30, 2018, as 'Manu Ginobli Day" with a proclamation at city council. 

SA Mayor Ron Nirenberg thanked Ginobli for his work on and off the court. 

Spurs fans shared their favorite memories and shared messages with Manu using the hashtags #GraciasManu and #ThanksManu on social media. 

#2 September 2018 Blake Shelton holds surprise concert at Cowboys Dancehall 

Blake Shelton made a surprise stop in the Alamo City in September. 

The country crooner treated fans to a free show at Cowboys Dancehall on September 21. 

#3 October 2018 Beto O'Rourke and Ted Cruz showdown in SA 

U.S. Senator Ted Cruz and former U.S. Representative Beto O'Rourke met at the KENS 5 studio in San Antonio for the second in a series of debates. 

During the debate, the candidates for the Senate seat discussed a number of issues including, the future of abortion, climate change, and border protection. 

Ted Cruz ultimately won the race.

#4 November 2018 Texas Tech fires Kliff Kingsbury

After spending six seasons with the Red Raiders, Kliff Kingsbury was released from Texas Tech.

The SA native accrued a 35-40 record in Lubbock and coached NFL players Baker Mayfield and Patrick Mahomes while they were at Tech.

Kingsbury is now the Arizona Cardinals head coach.

#5 December 2018 S.A. Flavor releases epic Hot Cheetos Fiesta medal

Ahead of Fiesta 2019, S.A. Flavor came out with their Flamin Hot Cheetos medal celebrating an iconic San Antonio snack. 

While the release was certainly early, the medals became widely coveted and extremely popular amongst San Antonians. 

#6 January 2019 Tim Duncan hands out food on the city's west side

Former Spurs player Tim Duncan was spotted handing out food in the Alamo City. 

A Spurs fan spotted TD on the city's west side handing out food to San Antonians unaccompanied by a press crew and dressed in cargo shorts and a fishing cap. 

#7 February 2019 Alamo Colleges announces tuition-free program

Students in Bexar County are one step closer to attending college for free. 

In February, Alamo Colleges announced that it was working on developing a tuition-free program. 

Officials with the college stated that they were still working out funding, but that they hoped to welcome their first wave of tuition-free students in 2020.

#8 March 2019 Pink stops at Buc-ee's on the way to SA

Pop superstar Pink stopped at Texas staple Bucc-ee's ahead of her San Antonio performance. 

The singer took to Instagram to share a photo of her family at the New Braunfels location. 

Pink captioned the photo, "Truck stops in Texas. Don't ask, just do it."

#9 April 2019 Cardi B receives an education in Fiesta 

Rapper Cardi B was introduced to Fiesta in April. 

The entertainer became aware of San Antonio's biggest party after coming across a homemade Fiesta parade float bearing her likeness on Twitter. 

Cardi B quoted the tweet and said, "Omg where this at? This is so cute!" 

Dozens of proud San Antonians took the time to explain the concept of Fiesta to the star. 

#10 May 2019: Bravo!'s San Antonio-based series Texicanas premieres

The Bravo! series Texicanas premiered this month. The show followed six San Antonio ladies  "as they navigate[d] love, family, and of course, drama, all while maintaining their connection to Mexican culture and traditions." 

The cast members became well-known as they helped to shine a light on the Alamo City. 

Speaking on the national attention, cast member Lorena Martinez said, "I hope we make [the city] proud. [The nation is] going to see a lot of our culture, a lot of our traditions..."

#11 June 2019: Jennifer Lopez pays tribute to Selena 

During her San Antonio stop on the "It's My Party" tour, Jennifer Lopez treated fans to a rendition of the Queen of Cumbia's "Si Una Vez."

A wave of nostalgia swept over the AT&T Center as JLo shared her excitement to be back in the Alamo City as it reminded her of the time she spent shooting the movie, "Selena."

#12 July 2019: The case of the 'Blue Bell Licker'

A viral video showed an unidentified woman inside of a Walmart taking out a half-gallon of Blue Bell ice cream from the freezer, licking the top of the ice cream, placing the cap back on and returning the ice cream to the freezer. 

In the days to follow, the woman was identified as a juvenile from the San Antonio area. 

Following the incident, plenty of photos, memes and gifs emerged on social media poking fun at the incident.
