NEW BRAUNFELS - Schlitterbahn Waterparks are celebrating National Women Learn to Surf Day!
Schlitterbahn has declared July 12 as National Women Learn to Surf Day to encourage girls and women to take their turn on the world’s most perfect wave.
The waterpark will have surf lessons at both New Braunfels and Galveston parks on Wednesday, July 12. On hand to teach the classes, inland surfing champions and mother-daughter duo Cathy and Morgan Seabert.
They’ll be teaching women how to surf on the park's inland surf ride, the Boogie Bahn, as a way to raise the profile of women in this sport.
On Wednesday, classes will be from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the New Braunfels location and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Galveston location.
