SAN ANTONIO — There is no lack of color at Jane of All.
"I have always just loved colorful fruit, kitsch kind of style so that is something that I'm gearing towards for my collection," Chelsea Smith said.
Owner Chelsea Smith's earrings and keychains are a throwback to her favorite childhood pastime, pixel art.
"One day I was roaming my local craft store and there were perler beads all of a sudden, and I knew I had to buy them and start playing again," Smith said.
Playing turned into an idea for a product.
"I'm inspired by just retro things I used to do in my childhood. I was obsessed with Pac-Man I loved Pokémon and I'm also inspired by nature," Smith said.
Bead by bead Smith lays out her childhood, melting together memories for others to wear and enjoy.
