Glam Nailz by Chloe presses on during the pandemic | Made in SA

San Antonio nail artist reinvents her company to allow you to get glamorous nails at home

SAN ANTONIO — With COVID-19 spiking once again, Chloe Reed's, chair remains empty. However, while business looks different, it's never slowed down.

"I've been doing nails for such a long time," Glam Nailz by Chloe, owner, Chloe Reed said. "I don't think I could do anything else."

So when the going got tough last year, the tough got creative.

"I'm basically eating ramen noodles, so I was like no, I need to do something different," Reed said.

She turned to one of the hottest new trends in nails, press-ons.

"I just had to think outside the box, and this is thinking outside the box," Reed said.

Glitter, glitz and tiny gadgets are now going on these customized sets.

If not for the pandemic, Reed says she would have never gotten out of her comfort zone.

"It kind of helped me center myself [into] the art of everything and understanding my product," Reed said.

Her patience, positivity and persistence are an example for anyone to press-on, even if your dreams get close to shutting down.

"I didn't make a plan 'B", because it was only plan A, plan B is only that there is plan A," Reed said. "We can do it. We can do all of it. Just sit still, think about it, write your plan and then stick to your plan."
