I am thrilled to be working in the Alamo City! After growing up in the Dallas area and living in El Paso, I'm definitely making my rounds in the Lone Star State.

Since coming to KENS 5 in September 2015, I'm proud to have worked on digital and TV stories with our talented team. This includes contributing to our coverage of the Sutherland Springs church shooting tragedy and the death of San Antonio Police Department Detective Benjamin Marconi.

I have also won Associated Press and Houston Press Club awards for an interactive online project I made that explores haunted places in the San Antonio area.

I graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism where I studied broadcast journalism. While there, I gained experience contributing to on air and online platforms at KOMU-TV and KOMU.com in Columbia, Mo.

I had the opportunity to write stories and blogs for CNN.com while completing an internship with the CNN medical news unit in Washington, D.C. I worked with a group of producers who covered everything from health care policy to new medical technology.

Before coming to San Antonio, I worked as a reporter for KFOX-TV in El Paso. Some of the stories I am most proud of include covering ongoing flooding issues in east El Paso County.

I also minored in Spanish in college and studied in Buenos Aires, Argentina during the summer of 2011.

Outside of work, I love outdoor activities like running and playing with my dogs.

I often cover digital topics at KENS 5, including apps, new products and local startups. If you have a suggestion of technology you think I should cover, or any other story tips, email me at askstacey@kens5.com. I’d love to hear from you!
