Niccole Caan is an investigative reporter for KENS 5 in San Antonio, Texas.
Niccole originally wanted to be a giraffe when she grew up, but her parents finally convinced her that her neck would never grow long enough. Forced to find another career, she decided to study journalism.
She then packed up all she learned and left her parents' nest near Chicago to go to Georgia for her first reporting job. Southern hospitality kept her there for three years.
Wanderlust struck and she went to Japan to teach English. She was forced to learn Japanese or continue to buy mysterious items at the grocery store. School in Japan is year-round, so during the long breaks, she traveled. She also discovered she had a knack for attracting strange and mysterious diseases on every trip and now has vast knowledge of most countries' medical systems.
Niccole came back to the States mostly in one piece and with just a few parasites. She returned to broadcasting by working for several stations in Indiana as an education reporter.
She then did a stint in public relations for various non-profit educational groups before deciding to go to graduate school. Her studies focused on investigative reporting.
Her passion for data and documents took her to the Lone Star state, where she worked as an investigative reporter in Amarillo. She became a Texan by marriage and headed south to San Antonio to be a consumer advocate at KENS 5.
When not buried in paperwork, she enjoys studying languages, traveling, yoga, cooking, eating out when she burns the meals, and hockey.
