Meagan Hendrickson Perez is an executive producer for KENS 5 in San Antonio. She manages the nightside team and oversees Eyewitness News at 6 and 10 p.m.
Meagan started her TV producing career in her hometown of Baltimore at WBAL-TV. She later joined the team at NBC10 in Philadelphia, where she earned her first Emmy award. She came to KENS 5 in 2018 when her husband, a U.S. Air Force officer, was stationed at Joint Base San Antonio.
Meagan earned her master's degree in strategic communication and innovation from Texas Tech University. Her capstone research focused on improving news coverage of missing persons cases regarding diversity, equity and inclusion. She also earned her bachelor's degree in mass communication from Towson University.
Meagan is passionate about coaching journalists, innovating TV news and following grammar rules.
When she's not in the newsroom, Meagan spends her time rooting for Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens.
