Jack Acosta is news director at KENS 5 in San Antonio, Texas.
He was named news director in May 2015 and has more than 30 years of experience in journalism.
Previously, Acosta worked at KHOU in Houston, WABC in New York and KTRK in Houston.
Other newsroom jobs he’s held include reporter, producer, executive producer and assistant news director.
Acosta previously served as chairman of Texas Associated Press Broadcasters.
He also served on the board of directors for the Radio Television Digital News Association.
Acosta is a Communities In Schools mentor for students at John Jay High School.
He is a graduate of the Texas A&M University School of Journalism.
Acosta and his wife, Rebecca, have two daughters, Scout and Josephine.
On weekends, you’ll probably find the family exploring South Texas or doing yard work at their home in Boerne.
