Alanna Sarabia is the afternoon and evening traffic anchor at KENS 5 in San Antonio, Texas.
She earned a bachelor's degree in electronic media from Texas State University in 2011, then started her television career here in the Alamo City.
Her broadcast background and passion is in lifestyle and entertainment. She has appeared on San Antonio Living on WOAI and Daytime @ Nine on KABB, and she hosted a CW 35-KMYS show as the "CW Insider."
She made the jump to Dallas between 2016 and 2021, interviewing local and national celebrities like John Travolta, Bradley Cooper and Dolly Parton (her personal favorite) as host of Good Morning Texas on WFAA. Being from Grand Prairie, it was very meaningful to work near the community that raised her.
She raised scholarship money for single parents and their firstborn child through LULAC Council #2 as Fiesta Royalty, La Reina de la Feria de las Flores, and also won Miss San Antonio through the Miss America Organization.
As Miss San Antonio, Alanna advocated for shelter animals and educated the city’s youth on how to be a responsible pet owner.
She is a former San Antonio Spurs Dancer, a Zeta Tau Alpha alum and a member of the Texas State University Alumni Association Board of Directors. She's also a self-proclaimed movie critic.
