The Houston Astros "Championship Trophy Tour" was in town Thursday so that Astros fans in the Alamo City could bask in the glory of the 2017 World Series champions. Astros teammates and organization members made appearances alongside their championship trophy, and one player even made a surprising pit stop along the way.
Astros relief pitcher Brad Peacock was spotted at an area Whataburger, serving patrons their fast food meals from the drive-thru window.
The World Series championship trophy made an appearance at Academy Sports on NW Loop 410, and from there headed to the Caravan Jam at Main Plaza downtown.
It also made an appearance at the KENS 5 studio Thursday morning.
The trophy tour will head back to the Houston area before making its final stop at the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.
