This is Ponce De Leon, or Pounce for short. Much easier for our three year old to say! Pounce came into our lives almost two years ago. We adopted him and his two sisters from a local shelter. It took a little love and effort to make him feel at home but it was worth it. He has been a great addition to our family and he is loved very much. Recently Mr. Pounce decided to leave our backyard to go exploring. After not returning by the end of the day as he usually would, we began to worry. By the next day I was heartbroken. I couldn't stand to think that he was gone. After searching databases of local shelters, classified ads of found pets, and driving through our neighborhood as late as midnight some nights, we just accepted that he was gone. But exactly one week later after returning home at around 11 pm, we heard him meowing outside our back door! We quickly let him in and could not believe that our Pouncy was back. He was much skinnier, hungry, and quite dirty, but he was home. We love our Pounce and the best thing about that is he loves us back. He may scratch on our couch every now and then, and he may even have started begging for turkey lunchmeat everytime were about to make a sandwich, but he's a part of our family. And who doesn't like turkey?
