I was checking out my back door to see if the rain had stopped and saw a male and three female cardinals on the fence and lawn. The male cardinal looks miserable and resigned to the fact he is going to be wet. I caught one female cardinal peering down the rain gauge and it looked like she was checking to see how much rain we have gotten today.
