I am all for safety of our kids and such, but come on give us a break already!!! Bot all women or men who are sex offenders are bad people! And even though it says all over the internet, most sex offenders who re-offend, do not commit another sex offence, most are simple traffic tickets.

I was very afraid when this guy moved into our neighborhood, we found out he was registered, but we looked him up, his crime was over 20 years ago, and what he was in prison does not fit the bill now.

I know, I know a lot of folks will say looks can be decieving, but at some point we have to give some of them a break, so my husband and I did some honest research, not what the news, or any police agency, or John Walsh has forced upon people, just some actual research.

most hard core sex offenders who re-offend with SEX CRIMES, do it with in the first year, honestly first 3 months. Over time, the risk of someone re-offending after about 5 years is actually very rare. The internet will have us believe its 90% who re-offend, and to tell the truth, it is 90%, but look at the actual crime that 90% has done! Of that 90% about 80% are traffic tickets, or petty crime, but because they are registered sex offenders, it goes down the wrong way, the papers, law enforcement, Kens 5, and others report it as another sex offender off the streets, but rarely do they say what the actual crime was that that sex offender did, we just hear the fear they are pumping into society, and truthfully it is not the day or evening anchors fault, its their bosses, editors, producers, and so on. Fear breeds Fear, which breeds anger, which breeds these men and women being attacked.

The guy who moved into our neighborhood has been attacked, house broken into, belongings stolen, the police rarely if ever come out when they are called to his place.

Look I know there are those who deserve to be locked up and the key thrown away, I am just saying that not all of the people are bad people, just fell under a rotten incident once in their life.

There is a sheriffs deputy, well there was, but over 20 years ago he was in prison for a sex crime, and low level sex crime. He was in California at the time, but some laws changed, and he moved out here when California cut him off the list of people who had to register. But as soon as John Walsh went to the senate and congress with HIS Adam Walsh act, this force ALL those who ever committed a sex crime back into the system, this guy did his time, now he has to do it again by being on this list.

There was a security officer who used to work in San Antonio, who fell under that exact same thing, he also was in California when the laws changed 22 years ago, but because of the Adam Walsh Act, he now has to re-register. He cant find a job, bill are piling up, he lost his volunteer job with his church, and was homeless for a short time, had to go get food stamps to feed his sons, how fair is this!?

Again just to get it right here is another one for you. My neighbor had to spend 3 years in prison, that's it, his crime was against an adult, his former fiance. He has to register for life. well life in prison is only 25 years, but as a sex offender he has to resister for the rest of his natural life, not just 25 years, he has been out of prison 20 years, and according to statistics, guys like him will never re-offend. yet he pays every day for a crime no one here in Texas knows about, nor cares to take the time to try and find out about

they just attack through the media, the internet, and through employers who are pumped full of false information and fear and also will not take the risk

my god just hire the man or woman, do not tell your other employees he or she is a sex offender, take the chance, its most likely a sex offender will not commit a sex crime at your place of business, but its not fair you discriminate against these people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Again I know some need to be locked up and have the key thrown out, but don't just blanket the entire group of sex offenders and say they are all bad, give some a chance, especially if they are honest with you about their past, take the chance, give em a break
