Wonderland Mall, formerly Crossroads Mall has been slowly dying through the years since new Malls have either rebuilt, or opened up!
This year marks the 50th years since this mall was built. The owner is trying to hang on to the place by breathing life back into this old place.
While the strip malls pop up all around this mall, and people folk to and from passing by and not looking, suddenly they are stopping to sit and gawk for a while.
Classic cars line the parking lot above, a band warms up by the fountain. Men and women alike go to look at the classic cars as they come in. The sun casts its glow on the polished chrome and paint lighting up every detail was its awesome light. And as the sun goes down inch by inch, it lights up something maybe not seen before.
Peoples minds go back in time to simpler times. Couples hold hands, old men talk of times past, and how they found different parts for their rides in different places. Some talk of days events, floods, twisters and so much more, every where you go you find a different topic. If you dare to stop and ask about their ride, they are more than willing to stop what they are doing and tell you about their ride, all you have to do is ask.
Then you hear the band come on stage. the owners of their different rides stay standing by their rides, while others slowly take seats here and there to settle into watch which ever band is performing.
Like a child or adult in school leaning about art, tonight it is on display. The artistry in the music being played, whether loud or soft, they play with their hearts, while the classics shine above as another purer form of art. the curves, the lines, the chrome.
Is all this enough to bring life back into this old place, we can only wait and see, meanwhile have a seat, or stand by an old or maybe not so old classic car, and enjoy the show.
